A cookie is a small file your browser stores to remember something between visits. These are ALL the cookies sapphik uses:
NEXT_LOCALE
- What it does
- Remembers the language you chose (Spanish or English) so we don't ask on every page.
- Duration
- Session only: deleted when you close your browser.
- Type
- First-party, functional.
better-auth.session_token
- What it does
- Keeps your session open if you decide to create an account and sign in. It only exists after signing in; when signing in with Google the browser also stores a couple of technical cookies for that flow which expire within minutes. In production it carries the __Secure- prefix.
- Duration
- Expires 7 days after signing in.
- Type
- First-party and technical.
payload-token
- What it does
- Keeps the admin panel session open. It is only created if you sign in to the panel — that is, only the site's administrator ever gets it.
- Duration
- Expires 2 hours after signing in.

- First-party, technical.
We use no tracking, advertising or analytics cookies whatsoever — neither our own nor third parties'. That's why there is no consent banner: there is nothing to consent to.
Managing them
You can delete or block these cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will keep working (at most it will ask for your language again).
